We have been noticing some innovation in public transportation to help meet the needs of older travelers. For older people who have a fear of falling on buses, First Group have developed a 'Safe Journey Card', which alerts the driver to the fact the individual requires the bus to remain stationary until he or she is safely seated. There are several versions of the Safe Journey Card from which an individual can select to best suit his/her particular needs. For more information or to download a card follow this link: |
