Medisat, a company that develops healthcare products, recently introduced the Patient Briefcase. The Patient Briefcase makes early discharge of patients with COPD and other Long Term Conditions possible. It makes it feasible to move parts of a patients treatment from the hospital to the home. The Patient Briefcase allows for a patient to be attended and treated at home by a specialist nurse or doctor that is in the hospital.
