Summit 2007

The ActiveAge Summit took place on Thursday 1 November 2007 in Newcastle. It saw the showcasing of work being done around the world on the application of Information and Communication Technology to sustain the quality of life for an ageing society.

With a focus on Health, Wellbeing and Independent Living, this first ActiveAge Summit focused on the technologies, strategies and business models that are being developed to deliver effective and sustainable telehealth, telemedicine, and telecare solutions for the elderly.

The Summit featured the work of experts from both public and private sectors here, in the UK, and overseas - and it highlighted the ground-breaking work being done in Newcastle and the north east of England on aspects of ageing.

ActiveAge is grateful to everyone who participated to make the event a success.
